As I walked the streets in Belgium, I realised that everyone was taking photos of the same things.
As impressive as the buildings were, I no longer wanted hundreds of images of the same thing. If I wanted photos of the buildings in the main square, I could happily buy a better quality picture from a professional, taken on a nice day. A postcard.
Instead I took photographs of people taking photographs. Some turned out to be photographs of people taking photographs of people. One of my favourite moments was when I was walking down a narrow street and I looked up to the window above to see somebody taking pictures of me.
None of these people knew that they were being photographed.
