Great Big Scary World › Forum › Help! What Should I Do? › I have come to a fork in the road.
I am about to graduate with my first of 4 degrees and a bunch of small events have happened over the last two weeks that are making me question every life decision I had previously planned for. These events have also opened up the possibility that I could take a year off from school with no consequences. I am just worried taking time to travel and spending money trying to find myself in all of this (which is something I really need to do but haven’t made time for) is going to be a mistake right now in my life since when I come back I will be (possibly) going for my PhD degree. There is just so much uncertainty ahead.
Imo, it’s always worth getting to know yourself better. But in the end it comes down to what you want to do more. If you’re super excited about your studies, why lose momentum? If you’re unsure about your decisions, maybe you should take some time to think about them more. The last time this happened to me, I went with my gut.
