I am a senior in high school and all I can think about is traveling, Im reading books, and constantly looking things up about it. would it be a bad idea to take a year off and travel the world? I have already paid my housing down payment and orientation payment..
After school, I took one year to work then travel before university. However, I had already secured my place at university and asked them to defer my start date by one academic year. I absolutely loved the experience and it didn’t damage me in any way – except that I now want only to see and do more.
I took a gap year as well and all I can say is that it was definitely the right decision. If there’s something you know you really want to do, then 4 or more years waiting for it will be torture. You should go to college because that is the thing you want to do most. If it isn’t …
