Into the Empty Quarter

Inspired by their hero, adventurers Alastair Humphreys and Leon McCarron attempt a journey of their own into the Empty Quarter (mostly through the desert in Oman). Their trip is hastily-planned and low budget: unable to afford camels they instead hope to drag a homemade steel cart (filled with 300kg of supplies) 1,000 miles through the ferocious desert heat.

This film is their story. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend watching it.

You can learn more about the film and download it from the Into The Empty Quarter homepage.

Epic adventure. Only the brave, only the strong.

Stories like this make me want to get out there and do it myself.
