I Believe I Can Fly (Hover Photos)

I once stumbled across a beautiful Japanese website http://yowayowacamera.com/ on which a Japanese girl posted a new hover photo every day.

I loved these photos and I am in awe of them.

How she makes her poses seem so natural is beyond me.

This is my own little tribute to her work.

    Hey man!
I really liked your blog and photos. Hitch Hiking seemed pretty much cool after viewing your blog.
Can you tell me the secret behind taking hover photos? or do you edit?
Just curious and wanted to try myself if it’s possible.

Thanks. The hover photos are completely unedited. I put my camera into sports mode (choose a high shutter speed) and get someone to focus the camera on me before jumping into the air. As they press the shutter down it takes a series of photos. Try different jumps and try to look natural. Sometimes they work; most often they don’t! Let me know how you get on.
