You Don’t Have to Know You’re Dying to Live

At the age of 14, Zach Sobiech was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. At the age of 18, he sadly passed away. In those few short years, he chose to live to the fullest and did more than most people will do in a whole lifetime: he released a song that has sold hundreds of thousands of copies, but more than that, he touched the people around him and inspired them to live too.

I choose to share this not to make you sad, but because of the positive message that Zach offered. Sometimes we should all think a little bit more about what matters in life and start living. As Zach so aptly put it, “You don’t have to know you’re dying to live.”

Thank-you Zach.

In fact all of us are dying, maybe not in such a sudden and terrible way. But we are in fact dying so we should try to make the best out of the time we have.

Sadly I must admit that I am the first one to fail in taking my own advice most of the time.
