Abandoned places fascinate me. I am on a mission to find as many as I can. Maybe then I will sleep in some of them. This abandoned school is close to a main road, but a little hidden. As I walked through the empty classrooms, I couldn’t help but wonder what it must have been like when it was still operating. Many years on, the building is almost unusable and has suffered huge amounts of vandalism. Almost every window in the place is shattered, but outside, statues above a fountain remained untouched.
At some point since it’s closure, someone has been keeping birds inside the school and the evidence remains.
From the roof you can see Hallasan, the largest mountain in South Korea.
Your HDR hurts my eyes. Don’t over-do it.
At least this one makes more sense. After all, Korean school kids sadly have the highest suicide rate of any in the world. I recommend even more schools being abandoned.
Great shots mate.
The education system is a huge part of that which then feeds into the work culture. Sadly I fear that it is something that will not change for many years / generations.
